Support Center for Child Advocates (Child Advocates) provides legal assistance and social service advocacy to children who have experienced abuse or neglect in Philadelphia County. Our staff social workers and lawyers team with our Child Advocates Volunteer Attorneys to ensure that every client receives the highest quality representation to address their emotional, physical, educational and behavioral health needs. Everyone works together to seek the best possible outcome for our clients.

Rising prices continue to make it harder for our clients’ families to provide not only gifts, but also the basics.
Our annual gift card drive allows us to give caregivers and clients the ability to decide what is needed and wanted most this season.

Last year, thanks to the generosity from hundreds of individual donors and businesses, we were able to provide gift cards to more than 1,400 young people. We are once again collecting gift cards to distribute to all of our clients and every child living in their home.

WE CANNOT DO IT WITHOUT YOUR HELP!

DETAILS

Until December 10th, Physical gift cards are being collected, and can be mailed or dropped off to our office at:

Support Center for Child Advocates
1617 JFK Blvd, Suite 1200
Philadelphia, PA 19103

E-Gift cards can be sent via email to event@SCCALaw.org
***(Please see 2024 E-Card submission update below)

The most useful denominations are $25 and $50 gift cards, which we can combine with other cards to
optimally help children and families, but all denominations are welcome! We suggest physical multi use cards: AMEX, Visa, Mastercard, as well as physical or electronic cards from popular merchants: Target, Walmart, Macy’s, Bed Bath & Beyond, Gap, & Old Navy. Also physical cards from grocery stores: Aldi, Lidl, Giant, Fresh Grocer, and ShopRite, and for travel: SEPTA Key Cards, Lyft, and Uber.

For easy online ordering of physical gift cards, visit our Amazon wish list HERE!

PLEASE NOTE FOR 2024:

E-CARDS: If planning to donate e-cards, those from Target, Walmart, Macy’s, Old Navy and other big box retailers are the most easily transferrable to clients. Please try to avoid Amazon e-cards, Vanilla Visa e-cards, the Gift Card Shop or giftcards/com, as the e-cards from these specific vendors are not easily transferrable. Physical cards from these vendors are still welcomed.

AMAZON SHIPPING: If shipping physical cards through Amazon, be sure that the delivery confirmation you receive has indicated that the delivery was received IN OUR OFFICE.

Donors are encouraged to email Mike at mdrzik@SCCALaw.org to confirm that electronic or physical gift card contributions made to this year’s Drive have been received.

No time to shop? A check or online gift to Support Center for Child Advocates will help
“fill in” the gap for gift cards and other needs for the children we serve.

BEYOND A PERSONAL GIFT CARD DONATION…

Coordinate a Gift Card Drive among your family, friends, or colleagues! We will deliver gift card envelopes to clients and families on Saturday, 12/14, so please have bulk donations to our office by Tuesday, 12/10.

Sponsor A Family or Teen on a larger scale by providing clothing, household items, furniture and other basic needs, along with toys for specific families or youth (new items only). We will match you with a family or teen and provide information so that you can personalize your donation to their specific needs. A limited number of cases are available.
